I traveled to Florida in May 2010 to watch the STS-132 Space Shuttle Atlantis launch. I also stayed in Cocoa Beach and visited the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex.
For me, this was a dream trip. I’ve been fascinated by the space program, even more so starting last year during the Apollo 11 40th anniversary. It was very important to me to see a manned space launch, and there were only three shuttle launches remaining. After the last launch, it will be 5 years or more until the next manned launches in North America.
